Balance Pilates Studio offers an innovative and refreshing approach to fitness. We believe that movement and exercise should feel good (Yes…GOOD!) and that exercise doesn’t have to be punishing to achieve results. In fact, the best results are achieved when your body moves as it was designed to move. And guess what?! That’s exactly what pilates teaches you to do!
You deserve to feel healthy, strong, vibrant and confident, but you DO have to move it or you WILL lose it – range of motion and strength, that is. And that’s where we come in!
We are a small, locally owned, boutique fitness studio and have been for 20 years. As a boutique studio, it is our privlege and honor to get know each of our clients individually. Our focus is on building personal relationships and creating purposeful and effective workouts based on your unique needs so that you can achieve your goals and get real results. We don’t believe in a “cookie cutter” or “one size fits all” approach to fitness. What works for one person, may or may not work for another as we all have different strengths and weaknesses.
We are seriously passionate about pilates, like it’s sort of an issue…how much we love pilates, that is. And yes, we have all of the bells and whistles, the FULL line of specially designed pilates equipment – Reformers, Cadillacs, Chairs, Barrels, and more small props than you can shake a stick at– so that you can experience the full benefit of the entire pilates method, not just a portion of it.
And if credentials are your thing, we got ’em. Not only were we one of the three original pilates studios to open up in RVA back in the nineties, but Balance is the STOTT PILATES® Licensed Training Center for the state of Virginia. That means we’ve been developing and training pilates instructors in the RVA community and throughout the state of Virginia since 2004. It also means that any instructor working at Balance has successfully completely one of the most rigorous pilates certification known to humankind. Like it is SERIOUS, y’all… blood, sweat, some occasional tears, a ton of practice and a lot of studying went into that certification, so you can rest assured that you are in expert hands.
