This workshop is required for all students applying for IMP or IR who do not meet the knowledge of functional anatomy prerequisite. It is also a great review for students who are preparing for exams and a great way for certified instructors to get all of of their CECs for the year. Topics include: basic biomechanics (levers, effects of gravitational force, effects of muscle force), anatomical terminology, skeletal anatomy, actions at the joints, major muscle groups and the muscles’ origin insertion and action. Select exercises from the STOTT PILATES® repertoire will also be broken down and analyzed in terms of the functional anatomy at play.
