The Holiday’s are a wonderful time of year.. but they can be stressful. Since stress makes us tried and sometimes convinces us to eat a container of ice cream for dinner we’re going to give you a few ideas to keep those stress levels down.

• Set a limit of how many holiday parties you will attend. For many go-getters you get invited to neighborhood parties, work parties, friend’s parties, and family parties. They can be a whirlwind. Send you into sugar overload. If you choose a set number it will help you prioritize and enjoy the parties you attend.
• Take a trip to the gym, studio or even a walk around the block. Working out releases endorphins that make you happy, plus it will make you feel better about attending those parties.
• Use a budget and stick to it. This is the season of giving, but giving will not give you that warm, fuzzy feeling inside if you’re still paying off that credit card bill in March. Spend wisely. Bake; invite friends over for dinner (and have them contribute).
• Do something for those who really need it. Get together with your friends. Talk about the option of giving to your favorite charity or buying for an angel instead of buying for each other. It will feel wonderful knowing that you are giving back to the community in honor of your friends.
• Make time for YOU! Set time aside to take a walk alone, to go get a manicure, to read a book. Having peace and quite in this busy season will keep you sane.
• Enjoy the season! Take time to notice the smells, the lights and decorations. People are naturally more affectionate during this time of year and they spend time creating what they consider to be warm and inviting spaces. Breathe and take it all in.. and don’t forget to compliment them on their hard work.
